Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale (born on April 2, 1985) is an American professional basketball player. She is part of the Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. She played college basketball for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, after which she was drafted by the Wings with the fifth overall selection of the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was born on the 2nd of March in 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26) and Dare Ogunbowale(20) are her siblings. Being the youngest of her siblings she was the one who was most spoilt by her parents. Gregory's father served in the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale lives with a very active family. She has a mother Yolanda and her brother Dare both played softball while attending DePaul. The cousin Endia Olive is also a volleyball player at Tennessee State. Ogunbowale is in the school's honor roll for the past three years. Apart from her fame, she's won numerous honors from her education. Arike graduated at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School which is located in Arike's hometown. She participated in three games of the varsity league as she studied at the school. Ogunbowale's extraordinary abilities helped her school capturing stunning victories numerous times. She compiled her High School career with 73 starts in her career and has a total of 1,477 points and 739 rebounds. Ogunbowale competed in 2013 U16 FIBA Americas Championships 2014 World Championships of FIBA U17 2013 3x3 FIBA U18 Championships which she took home gold medals. In July of 2014 she was chosen to be a member of the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale also has been named to the ACC All-Freshman Team after her first collegiate season. Kobe Bryant even thanked her for her important shots at the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale might be new to basketball, but she's already made herself known. Arike Ogunbowale's wealth stands at approximately $5 million according to one source. Although a basketball player Ogunbowale is a pro in other sports as well. She is an active soccer player. She won 3 State Cup titles for Lake County United Soccer Club, and 1 State Cup title at FC Milwaukee Soccer Club. She was also a pianist for a long time.
